workshops

I was thrilled to be part of this year’s Wandsworth Arts Fringe, working again with History Speak to offer a new version of Home Is Where the Art Is. Starting at the R.O.S.E Community Clubroom, participants learnt about the life and home of local polymath Khadambi Asalache. They then embarked on an adventure with a small group of like-minded people, discovering hidden local gems as they followed a heritage map to their final destination – Khadmabi’s home 575 Wandsworth Road, which is cared for by the National Trust.

After a guided home tour, participants sat around his dinner table with me for a reflective poetry writing workshop, where they had the chance to explore their own creativity.

About my workshops

I deliver creative writing workshops in libraries, schools and community settings. The great thing about creative writing is how accessible it is – all you need is pen, paper and imagination. I believe everyone is creative, it’s part of what makes us human, and I love helping people explore their creativity through writing. My workshops are informal, fun and welcoming, and give people the chance to explore creative writing in a supportive atmosphere.

As well as short poetry writing taster sessions, I can provide workshops focussed on nature and gardening, local history, found text poetry or tailored to a specific brief.
