Twixtmas comes but once a year

Twixtmas. That quiet period betwixt Christmas and New Year. It’s one of my favourite times of year, when London slows down a bit. The streets are quieter. People seem less harried, more relaxed. It’s a good time to explore and maybe walk off a bit of the festive excess.

A large Christmas wreath stands in some wooden decking. Beyond the decking is a bed of reds and in the background tall apartment blocks

In this spirit, I’m reprising my Open Spaces in Nine Elms Twixtmas Walk. Join me on Saturday 28th December at 11:00am for a two-hour guided walk around Nine Elms in Battersea. The walk is focussed on publicly accessible green spaces, and I’ll share information about the area’s rich horticultural and industrial history. We’ll finish around 1pm near Battersea Power Station, where you can head for a warming drink, a spot of lunch or even some ‘retail therapy’; or hop on the tube and head into central London.

You can find out more and book on Eventbrite. Tickets are £15 or £7 if you’re on a low income.
